Location: New York

Our client, a fast-growing wealth management firm in NYC, is seeking an HR Coordinator to support its People team. This role will support the HR Business Partner team by managing critical HR operations, coordinating employee lifecycle activities, and ensuring a seamless experience for employees. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys administrative HR work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking to build on their HR career.

Location: New York, NY (5 days onsite)

Employment Type: Contract (ongoing)

Compensation: $30-$34/hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end onboarding and offboarding logistics for employees
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, IT, and Workplace teams to ensure a smooth Day 1 experience and timely offboarding process
  • Track onboarding progress and follow up on outstanding tasks
  • Monitor and manage the centralized HR inbox, responding to employee inquiries and escalating complex issues as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate employee records and process employee transactions in Workday
  • Process new hires, transfers, promotions, and other employee changes
  • Prepare employment-related documentation, including employment verification letters, offer-related letters, transfer letters, and termination documentation
  • Support ad hoc HR projects and administrative initiatives as needed

Ideal Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2 years of HR, HR Coordinator, or related administrative experience preferred
  • Experience working with an HRIS, preferably Workday
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of professionalism with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
