Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite (Monday-Friday)
Salary: $50,000-$55,000 annually; dependent on experience
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Human Resources Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of a busy HR department. This role will provide administrative support across various HR functions, including onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, recruiting coordination, and employee relations. The ideal candidate is professional, confidential, highly organized, and eager to grow within Human Resources.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources team.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, including preparing offer packets, onboarding documents, and orientation schedules.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Support recruiting efforts by scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and maintaining applicant tracking systems.
- Process employment verifications, personnel changes, and HR documentation.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and other HR-related materials.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and company events.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Respond to employee questions and direct inquiries to the appropriate HR team member.
- Perform general administrative duties including filing, data entry, and document management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of administrative or human resources experience.
- Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and HR processes preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience working with HRIS systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
