HR Coordinator

International Wire Group is seeking an organized, people-focused HR Coordinator to join our team in Camden, New York. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional who wants to build a strong foundation in human resources while gaining hands-on experience across recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and HR operations.

In this highly visible role, you will work closely with plant leadership, employees, and the broader Human Resources team to support a positive employee experience. You will have the opportunity to learn how HR supports a fast-paced manufacturing operation while developing valuable skills that can lead to continued growth within the organization.

What You Will Do

Recruiting and Onboarding

  • Support recruitment activities for hourly and salaried positions, including interview scheduling, candidate communication, and pre-employment coordination
  • Assist with new-hire onboarding, orientation, and required employment documentation
  • Help ensure new employees receive a welcoming, organized, and positive introduction to International Wire Group
  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screenings, physicals, and other required documentation
  • Maintain accurate candidate and new-hire information within the applicant tracking and HR systems

Employee Support and HR Administration

  • Serve as an approachable first point of contact for employees with general HR questions.
  • Support employees with questions related to policies, benefits, payroll, timekeeping, and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation.
  • Prepare employment-related correspondence, reports, presentations, and internal communications.
  • Assist with employee status changes, transfers, promotions, leave documentation, and other personnel updates.
  • Provide administrative support for employee meetings, engagement activities, recognition programs, and company events.

HR Compliance and Operations

  • Support compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements.
  • Assist with audits, recordkeeping, reporting, and document-retention requirements.
  • Help monitor completion of required training, certifications, and employee documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, communication, organization, and the employee experience.
  • Partner with plant leadership and HR team members on additional projects and business needs.
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous internship, administrative, customer service, recruiting, or HR-related experience is helpful but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Interest in developing a long-term career in Human Resources.
  • Ability to work onsite at the Camden, New York facility.
