The Role

The Human Resources Generalist partners with the Human Resources Manager, Director of Human Resources, and operational leaders to support strategic and day-to-day human resources initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and operational excellence.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with leaders to ensure HR strategies, policies, and best practices are effectively implemented.
  • Develop a strong understanding of venue operations to provide effective HR partnership and business support.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees (union and non-union) on employee relations matters, including performance management, progressive discipline, career development, workplace concerns, company policies, and employment and labor laws.
  • Proactively anticipate and resolve employee and labor relations issues, including conflict resolution.
  • Partner with the Director of Human Resources to conduct workplace investigations and prepare supporting documentation.
  • Support talent acquisition, succession planning, and employee development initiatives to strengthen organizational benchstrength.
  • Participate in the development and continuous improvement of departmental goals, objectives, and processes.
  • Assist with full-cycle recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and staffing initiatives.
  • Support staffing efforts during both event and non-event days as needed.
  • Manage various safety-related responsibilities, including workers' compensation administration, OSHA log maintenance, and safety board updates.
  • Lead or support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Experience using HRIS and applicant tracking systems such as Workday, UKG/Ulti Pro, ABI, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to elevate issues appropriately.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or comparable HR certification is preferred.
  • Three to five years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within hospitality, sports, entertainment, or another high-volume environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, including workers' compensation, workplace safety, EEOC, NLRB, and FLSA regulations.
