Sysco is seeking an on-site Human Resources Manager in Warners, NY.
This role offers a competitive annual salary range of USD 85,900 – 128,900 and the opportunity to partner with the HR Business Partner and company leadership to implement local initiatives and regional programs that attract, develop, retain, and engage talent to achieve business goals. You will help foster an inclusive culture, drive associate engagement through targeted programs such as Sysco Speaks action planning, and support development across the organization.
Location:
Warners, NY (onsite).
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
Minimum experience:
5 years.
- Collaborate with the HR Business Partner to execute core HR processes, including performance management, talent management, total rewards, compensation, training and development, and the transitional return-to-work process.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and associates on HR policies and procedures.
- Partner with leaders and Centers of Excellence to support recruitment and staffing plans.
- Work with the HRBP to foster an inclusive and diverse culture.
- Develop and administer programs to enhance associate engagement and satisfaction, including Sysco Speaks action planning.
- Manage employee and labor relations, including investigations and conflict resolution.
- Support reviewing, interpreting, administering, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies and procedures.
- Ensure initial reports are entered into Risx Facs for Workers' Compensation and Liability, and act as liaison between Gallagher Bassett and associates.
- Assist in identifying training needs and developing programs to improve performance and professional development.
- Bachelor's degree with major in Human Resources, Business Administration or a closely related field required for external candidates; preferred for internal candidates.
- 5 years of experience in Human Resources management or equivalent, with 3 years in a supervisory role preferred, and/or an equivalent combination of related training, education and Sysco experience.
- PHR or SPHR certification from the HR Certification Institute (preferred).
- Experience with SAP, Workday, or Risx Facs preferred.
- Active listening and the ability to understand and respond to others, with appropriate questions and minimal interruptions.
- Ability to motivate, develop, and direct people, identifying the best fit for roles.
- Awareness of others' reactions and the ability to adapt accordingly.
- Effective verbal communication and the ability to convey information clearly.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to articulate ideas in writing.
- Analytical reasoning to evaluate strengths and weaknesses of alternatives and to identify the best course of action.
- Ability to understand and interpret work-related documents.
- Listening to and understanding information presented verbally and in writing.
- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
- Ability to consider costs and benefits when choosing actions.
- Collaborative mindset to bring others together and reconcile differences.
- Skill in identifying complex problems, reviewing information, and evaluating options to implement solutions.
- Capacity to recognize potential issues and act proactively.
- Creative thinking with the ability to generate multiple ideas on a topic.

- Able to sit, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone.
- Frequently sit and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Limited travel to Sysco facilities or operating companies.
- Proficiency with office equipment such as desktop/notebook computers, copiers, printers, scanners, telephones, and calculators.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
- Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor climates and driving conditions.
