Job description

As an Human Resources Generalist, you will embody the values and culture of the Maison, serving as a trusted resource to employees and supporting an exceptional employee experience throughout the full employment lifecycle. You will be responsible for supporting key areas of Human Resources, including employee relations, benefits, onboarding, leave administration, HR operations, payroll and employee support, while ensuring that HR processes are handled with care, precision, discretion, and excellence.

You will partner closely with employees and managers to provide thoughtful guidance, foster a positive and supportive workplace, and ensure that our people feel valued, informed, and well supported.

Key responsibilities Employee Support
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on day-to-day HR matters.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, benefits, time off, leaves, and employee-related questions.
  • Support employee relations matters with discretion and sound judgment.
Benefits & Leave Administration
  • Manage employee benefits and serve as a resource for enrollment, qualifying life events, and benefit questions.
  • Coordinate employee leaves, documentation, and communications throughout the leave process.
  • Partner with benefits providers and other third-party partners as needed.
Payroll & HR Operations
  • Manage the biweekly payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Maintain accurate employee information across payroll, HRIS, and benefits systems.
  • Coordinate payroll-related changes, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, deductions, and time-off updates.
  • Support payroll reporting, reconciliations, and year-end activities.
Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle
  • Coordinate a seamless onboarding experience, including new hire documentation, HRIS setup, background checks, and benefits enrollment.
  • Support employee changes, transfers, promotions, and offboarding.
  • Ensure employees receive the information and resources needed throughout their employee journey.
HR Administration & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Support HR reporting, audits, compliance requirements, and employment-related documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and the overall employee experience.
  • Assist with HR projects, employee communications, and other initiatives as needed.
Required qualifications and skills
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, People Operations, or similar HR role.
  • Strong experience supporting employee-facing HR functions, particularly benefits, onboarding, leave administration, and HR operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and strong relationships with employees and managers.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • A proactive, service-oriented approach with a genuine interest in supporting employees.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate questions and situations with professionalism and care.
  • Experience working with an HRIS and other HR systems.
  • Working knowledge of employment practices and HR compliance.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the broader HR team.
  • Payroll experience is preferred, but extensive payroll expertise is not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

The appointed candidate will be offered a salary based of $75,000.00 plus the opportunity to participate on a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and retirement plans with employer contributions.
