Job Summary

Responsible for providing comprehensive support (coordinating, researching, resolving, responding to, and guiding) an enterprise of ~6,000 employees, in all areas of the day-to-day operations of human resources, including but not limited to: recruitment, employee benefits, onboarding and offboarding, employee engagement, payroll, immigration, performance management, compensation, systems (Workday), leaves and overall general administration (e.g. unemployment claims, verifications of employment).

Regularly reviews employee data, make recommendations based on trends on ways to better support employees and improve their experience, and lead ad-hoc projects and participate in large scale HR initiatives such as system enhancements/implementations, that directly impact employees.

GENERAL
  • Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of current human resources and benefit trends, laws, governmental compliance, and company policies.
EMPLOYEE SUPPORT
  • Be the initial point of contact for employees with HR questions and manage the high volume of employee requests that span across multiple subject areas - respond to all basic inquiries via shared mailbox/CRM system, and engage with other HR teams as needed to identify solutions.
  • Manage onboarding process for hires (in multiple systems, as needed) - background check verification, employee health screening, I-9 verification to ensure a positive new hire experience and timely start.
  • Guide employees and managers through system processes, create necessary resources, maintain and train.
WORKFORCE ADMINISTRATION
  • Manage the immigration process for employees that have work authorizations, ensuring that the organization remains compliant, and work with outside counsel, as needed.
  • Complete unemployment claims filed across HSS approved work states.
  • Manage other administrative responsibilities such as: verification of employment, tuition reimbursement, document upload/retrieval requests.
  • Participate in Joint Commission efforts - retrieve data, pull files, identify areas for improvement, internally.
DATA & SYSTEMS
  • Review system data as defined, to ensure accuracy and take necessary action, as appropriate.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to processes and system workflows, to improve the employee experience, and automate time-consuming tasks.
  • Participate in system testing efforts when needed.
TEAM SUPPORT
  • Act as the subject matter expert in one or more areas defined - train team members, serve as point of escalation, create and maintain resources.
  • Support team and other HR Centers of Excellence as needed with project-related tasks, ad-hoc requests.
Job Qualifications

Education
- Required
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree

Experience
- Required
Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional level experience in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field

Skills
- Required

  • Highly proficient in applications within MS Office Suite a MUST (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • Advanced organizational skills with high accuracy and attention to detail, plus the ability to reprioritize for self and staff to meet deadlines.
  • Strong oral, written and verbal and interpersonal communication skills; excellent follow-up skills
  • Working knowledge of collaboration tools:
    Zoom, Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain utmost confidentiality of personnel information
  • The availability to work 37.5 hours per week, between the hours of 8:00 am to 6:00 pm (Start and end times TBD)
  • Minimum of 3 years' HR experience.
  • Should be well versed in topics like benefits, time & absence, onboarding and have strong system proficiency.
  • Workday experience is a requirement.
  • Data analytics is a plus.
  • These positions have the potential to become permanent, down the line.
