Location: New York, NY Midtown Manhattan
Job Type: Contract

About the Role

We are seeking a People Operations Analyst to join a dynamic People Strategy & Operations team. This role will support a diverse range of strategic People initiatives, HR systems and process improvements, data analysis, training and development, and company-wide change management efforts.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and proactive, with hands-on experience supporting HR systems and a strong interest in process improvement and organizational efficiency. You will serve as an enablement partner to the People team by helping establish effective processes, apply best practices, and deliver high-quality project outcomes.

This is a hybrid position requiring at least 3 days per week in a Midtown Manhattan office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a variety of strategic People/HR projects while assisting with business-as-usual HR systems issues, troubleshooting, and solutions.
  • Perform thorough user acceptance testing (UAT) for system changes during each sprint cycle, including BAU and optimization updates.
  • Maintain documentation for test scripts, screenshots, scenarios, and testing results.
  • Conduct regular data audits and validations to identify and correct discrepancies and maintain the accuracy and integrity of People data.
  • Support information-gathering sessions, requirements documentation, and project prioritization for the broader HR systems optimization roadmap.
  • Create, maintain, and document requirements for enhancements and updates to HRIS and ticketing systems.
  • Develop and maintain internal process documentation, user guides, and quick-reference materials for People systems, data audits, workflows, and process changes.
  • Assist with HR systems training, data cleanup, audits, and data governance initiatives.
  • Develop process guides and playbooks to support consistent and effective People operations.
  • Identify opportunities for HR process improvement and reengineering that can improve efficiency, quality, profitability, and employee experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and optimize systems, processes, and ways of working.
  • Provide timely project updates, maintain project documentation, and consistently meet project deadlines.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field,
    or equivalent relevant experience
    .
  • At least 3 years of experience in a systems- or process-focused role preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday required.
  • Experience with Service Now is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting HR systems, processes, projects, or data-related initiatives is a plus.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends or discrepancies, and support process improvements.
  • Comfortable working with HR systems, documentation, testing, and process workflows.
