The Director of Talent and Total Rewards is responsible for leading the design, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide HR programs, processes, and systems that support Latham's growth strategy and people objectives. This role serves as a key member of the HR leadership team and provides strategic and operational leadership across Total Rewards operations, talent management processes, HR systems, workforce analytics, and enterprise HR projects.
The Director will drive execution of critical HR initiatives, establish scalable people processes, enhance operational excellence, and ensure sustainable ownership of foundational talent programs including job architecture, manager development, performance management, employee engagement, talent review, and succession planning.
This position partners closely with HR Business Partners, functional leaders, and executive leadership to translate strategy into measurable business outcomes while improving the employee and manager experience.
Some Of What You Will DoShared Services & Operational Excellence- Lead the HR Shared Services function, ensuring efficient, scalable, and consistent delivery of HR processes and services.
- Drive standardization, process optimization, and continuous improvement across the employee lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, governance structures, and service delivery standards.
- Oversee HR operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting to support data-driven decision making.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency through technology and AI-enabled solutions.
- Drive performance management processes and enhancements.
- Design and implement scalable manager development programs that strengthen leadership capabilities across the organization.
- Partner with business leaders to identify capability gaps and learning priorities.
- Support leadership development initiatives, mentoring programs, and workforce capability-building efforts.
- Measure and report on leadership development effectiveness.
- Lead compensation operations, governance, and administration.
- Oversee market pricing, job evaluation, salary structure administration, compensation analytics, and annual compensation planning processes.
- Support executive compensation analysis and Compensation Committee preparation.
- Ensure compensation programs are administered consistently and aligned with company philosophy and market practices.
- Partner with Finance and HR leadership on workforce and compensation budgeting activities.
- Maintain and govern enterprise job architecture frameworks.
- Oversee career ladders, job leveling, and role taxonomy structures.
- Support workforce planning initiatives and organizational design efforts.
- Ensure alignment between talent practices, compensation programs, and organizational structure.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
