Job Description

Hastings People is seeking a driven and commercially minded Recruitment Consultant to join its US division. This is a fully remote opportunity based in New York, recruiting across the hospitality, accommodation, FMCG, and retail sectors throughout the US market.

The role offers the opportunity to build meaningful client and candidate relationships while developing a strong network across some of the most dynamic consumer-facing industries in the country. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, combining proactive business development with sophisticated candidate sourcing to identify and engage best-in-market talent.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from business development and role qualification through to sourcing, interviewing, selection, and placement
• Build and develop relationships with clients across hospitality, accommodation, FMCG, and retail
• Proactively identify and engage high-quality candidates across both active and passive talent markets
• Develop deep market knowledge and build a strong professional network across the US
• Contribute to the continued growth of the US division through collaboration, market intelligence, and new business opportunities

Candidate Profile

This opportunity will suit an experienced recruiter who is ambitious, commercially focused, and motivated by the opportunity to help grow an emerging division. You will be comfortable operating autonomously in a fully remote environment while remaining highly connected to a collaborative international team.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Previous agency recruitment experience, ideally across hospitality, accommodation, FMCG, retail, or related consumer sectors
• A proven ability to develop client relationships, generate new business, and manage recruitment assignments
• Strong candidate sourcing skills with the ability to engage both active and passive talent
• Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills
• A self-motivated and results-oriented approach with the ability to thrive in a remote, target-driven environment
