TAG Med Staffing is hiring an HR Benefits & Claims Coordinator in Brooklyn, NY for our client, supporting workers' compensation, unemployment claims, employee records, and human resources administration in a healthcare environment. This role is best suited for a candidate with direct HR experience handling employee documentation, claims administration, confidential personnel records, and follow-up with employees, managers, and external parties. The ideal candidate has 1+ years of hands-on human resources experience with exposure to workers' compensation or unemployment claims, strong Microsoft Office and HR systems skills, and excellent attention to detail, organization, confidentiality, and follow-through.
Responsibilitiesas the HR Benefits & Claims Coordinator:
- Workers' Compensation: Coordinate workers' compensation documentation, claim tracking, employee information, and required follow-up.
- Unemployment Claims: Support unemployment claims by gathering records, preparing documentation, tracking requests, and coordinating responses.
- HR Administration: Process employee documentation and provide administrative support across day-to-day human resources operations.
- Employee Records: Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files, employment records, and HR documentation.
- Claims Coordination: Communicate with employees, managers, and external parties to obtain information and support timely resolution of HR-related claims.
- HR Reporting: Maintain tracking records, update HR systems, and prepare routine reports related to employee and claims activity.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 1+ years of human resources, HR coordination, or HR administrative experience is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with workers' compensation, unemployment claims, employee records, or related HR processes is strongly preferred.
- Technical
Skills:
Microsoft Office proficiency and experience with HRIS, payroll, or employee recordkeeping systems are preferred. - Skills & Attributes: Strong organization, attention to detail, confidentiality, communication, time management, and follow-through are required.
