Job Description & How to Apply Below

Our Global Reward team shapes reward strategies that help attract, retain, and motivate talent across Macquarie. Based in New York in this 6+ month contract role, you’ll work as part of a global advisory team across New York, London and Sydney, delivering reward solutions that are competitive, commercially aligned, compliant, and informed by market and workforce insights.

We are a global financial services group operating in 30 markets with 57 years of unbroken profitability. At Macquarie, you’re empowered to shape a career that is fulfilling and creates value. You will bring your insights and expertise to the task at hand and feel supported as you make your own kind of impact for a better future.

What role will you play?

As a Global Reward Adviser, you will help deliver insight-led reward advice across Macquarie, combining analytical capability, market insight, and practical remuneration expertise. You will analyze compensation and workforce data, identify trends, support the design and review of reward packages, and translate insights into clear recommendations for business and People & Culture stakeholders.

You will work closely with Reward colleagues and business stakeholders to support annual remuneration processes, market benchmarking, regulatory and governance requirements, and ad hoc reward analysis. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with data, applying judgement to compensation matters, and using analysis to inform practical business decisions.

What you offer
  • 4+ years' experience in remuneration, compensation, reward, or workforce analytics, ideally within financial services, investment banking, financial markets, or another highly regulated environment.
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience interpreting remuneration and workforce data, identifying trends, and translating analysis into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Curiosity and confidence using data, automation, AI-enabled tools, and emerging technologies to improve analysis, enhance efficiency, and support evidence-based reward decisions.
  • Awareness of emerging reward trends, including pay transparency, pay equity, skills-based pay considerations, and the evolving use of data and technology in compensation decision-making.
  • Experience analyzing market remuneration data, benchmarking compensation outcomes, and supporting annual compensation review processes, regulatory reporting, reward governance, pay equity analysis, or large-scale workforce analysis would be highly regarded.
  • A good understanding of compensation principles, including fixed pay, variable pay, market benchmarking, reward governance, and incentive structures.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate analysis and identify inconsistencies or areas requiring further review.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex remuneration concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and contribute effectively within a global team.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with a strong client-service mindset and interest in continuous improvement.

Salary range for this position: $130,000 – $170,000/year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. You can further read about the full spectrum of benefits we offer our people listed below.
