Job Overview

Responsible for directing the Center's career services and career development activities. Provides leadership for career planning, employer engagement, job development, placement preparation, work-based learning coordination, and student transition activities designed to support successful career outcomes.

Job Corps requires career development services to be individualized and coordinated across academic, career technical, and career transition functions.

Responsibilities Essential

Job Duties:

Direct and oversee Career Center operations and career development services.
Supervise and provide direction to assigned career services personnel.
Ensure students receive individualized career planning and employment preparation services.
Coordinate career planning with students' MyPACE Career Plans and career pathway goals.
Develop and maintain relationships with employers, workforce organizations, community partners, and other stakeholders.
Coordinate job development, employer recruitment, career fairs, hiring events, and related activities.
Oversee resume development, interviewing preparation, job-search strategies, and employment readiness activities.
Coordinate with Career Technical Training, academic, counseling, and WBL staff.
Monitor student and graduate placement activities and career outcomes.
Maintain accurate career services records and reports.
Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions when outcomes do not meet established goals.
Ensure compliance with Job Corps, company, and applicable Department of Labor requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements Mandatory:

Bachelor's degree in business, education, human services, workforce development, counseling, or a related field.
Three (3) years of related experience in career development, workforce development, employment services, education, or a related field.
Two (2) years of supervisory or program coordination experience.
Experience developing employer or community partnerships.
Successfully pass background check and drug test required on the contract.
