• You have a sound understanding of your market and the trends emerging within it, and how these impact both the practice and your clients' objectives and plans.
• You build candidate pools, with a robust plan in place to nurture and grow these networks.
• You provide data-driven insights, develop candidate pipelines, and create target company lists.

• By developing and executing tailored search strategies for each assignment, including identifying target companies, industries, and potential candidates.
• Through sharing market insights and collaborating on business development activities to drive practice growth.
• By collaborating with Partners to understand client requirements and deliver research that aligns with the search strategy.
• Through extensive mapping of organizational structures and effective compilation of potential candidates.
• By compiling research reports, candidate profiles, and industry insights for internal and client-facing presentations.
• By participating in team meetings to discuss search progress and share insights on talent markets.

• A genuine interest in one (or more) of our core markets:
  Private Equity, Technology, Strategy & Consulting, or Manufacturing & Automotive.
• Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple search assignments at once.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate research into clear, compelling insights.
• Comfort working with Linked In Recruiter, Boolean search techniques, CRM/ATS platforms, and other sourcing tools (training provided where needed).
• A collaborative mindset - you thrive working closely with Partners and Consultants rather than in isolation.
• Resilience and patience - senior-level searches can take time, and you stay motivated through a longer sales cycle.
• Previous experience in research, executive search, market intelligence, or a related analytical field is a plus, but not essential - we care more about mindset and curiosity than a specific CV background.

This role is the first step on our Research career path. Strong performance and demonstrated growth against the above behaviors and capabilities lead to promotion to Senior Researcher
, with further progression opportunities into specialist and leadership research positions across InX.

This role is based in our New York office 3 days per week
, working within a global team and network.
