Coda Search is in growth mode and adding one or two professionals to its midtown finance team during the first half of the year. The firm is hiring a Finance Recruiter to run a blended, non-siloed desk serving financial services clients across most functional areas. Based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, this full-time role offers broad exposure across multiple client verticals rather than locking recruiters into a single niche.
WhatMakes This Role Unique
- Blended desk model – recruiters pursue the roles and industries they prefer rather than being forced into rigid verticals
- Client mix – roughly two-thirds of clients operate in hedge funds, private equity, real estate, prop trading, and asset management
- Tech crossover – the remaining third spans technology, media, consumer, start-up, and Fin Tech companies
- Functional breadth – placements span HR, investor relations, risk, accounting, operations, legal, and front-office trading
- Minimum of three-plus years of experience in financial services recruiting
- Familiarity with roles across asset management, hedge funds, private equity, or adjacent sectors
- Senior-level candidates are also welcome to apply
- Comfort operating a blended desk that spans multiple functional areas and industries
Recruiters at Coda Search are given autonomy to shape their own desk focus. The firm does not force its people into silos, and everyone has the opportunity to work on the roles and industries that interest them most. This is a team that genuinely does a bit of everything.
Application Tips Specific to Finance Recruiting- Quantify billing performance – highlight placements billed, average deal size, and sectors covered (e.g., hedge fund ops, PE analyst seats)

- Showcase network depth – reference platforms where finance talent is sourced, such as Linked In Recruiter, Zoom Info, or niche communities like Wall Street Oasis
