Solutions Engineer – Firefly

Firefly is the Agentic Cloud Automation platform that transforms cloud infrastructure into a self‑healing, compliant, and recovery‑ready control plane. Its context‑aware AI agents codify and govern your cloud, creating a unified system of record and acting safely within built‑in guardrails.

We’re looking for a Solutions Engineer who will join our global sales team and will be the technical voice of our prospects from the first technical demo to production deployment. The role is focused on pre‑sales and is ideal for a candidate with a strong Dev Ops or cloud background, a startup mentality, and a passion for helping prospects adopt cutting‑edge technology.

The position is open to any candidate based in the Eastern or Central time zone in the US.

• Partner with Account Executives to understand customer pain points and deliver tailored product demos, technical deep dives, and value‑driven presentations.
• Lead Proof‑of‑Concepts (POCs) and product evaluations, ensuring a smooth and technically sound validation process.
• Serve as the technical champion throughout the sales cycle – answering questions, addressing objections, and building trust with prospects.
• Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value, mapping product features to customer goals and environments.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to relay market feedback, share prospect insights, and help shape future roadmap direction.
• Develop technical assets such as demo environments, sample code, automation scripts, and documentation to support the pre‑sales process.
• Continuously deepen your expertise in Firefly’s platform and the broader Dev Ops/cloud ecosystem to become a go‑to subject matter expert for prospects and internal teams.

• At least 3‑5 years of experience as a Pre‑Sales Solutions Engineer in a tech company.
• Dev Ops, Cloud Engineer, or similar background (B2B startup experience is an advantage).
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and modern Dev Ops tools.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure‑as‑Code, Fin Ops, and Governance.
• Experience working with APIs, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), scripting (Python, Bash, etc.) and automations.
• Comfortable running customer‑facing calls and explaining complex concepts simply.
• A self‑starter, hungry to take ownership, resourceful, and customer‑obsessed.
• Excellent communication skills – both technical and business‑level.
