NYU Langone Health is a leading academic medical center that consistently achieves the best patient outcomes. We are seeking a Lead People Soft Application Developer to support our Finance and Supply Chain (FSCM) applications.
Position SummaryThe successful Peoplesoft Techno-Functional Lead Programmer/Analyst will support corporate systems automation and act as the technical and functional expert for People Soft Finance and Supply Chain, focusing on Procure to Pay and Inventory. The role reports to the Associate Director and works closely with developers and business process owners to gather requirements, code, test, and deploy high-quality business application systems.
Job Responsibilities- Self-motivation and ownership by proactively identifying solutions, driving tasks to completion with minimal supervision, and continuously seeking opportunities to improve code quality and system performance.
- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, and business process descriptions.
- Understand interdependencies between FSCM modules and help design and configure systems to ensure smooth and accurate data flow.
- Critically evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from true needs.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers to deliver functional requirements, use cases, UI designs, and other artifacts.
- Code, troubleshoot, analyze, and test People Soft FSCM 9.2 application.
- Assist in design and configuration of systems to ensure accurate data flow.
- Troubleshoot and analyze job and process failures and assist in correcting them.
- Contribute to project deliverables, understand and document program development requirements, and provide production support resolution.
- Develop test plans, create test scripts, and conduct system tests and validation with business users and QA teams.
- Support and oversee user acceptance testing, logging/resolving testing issues, and manage user expectations.
- Perform report development or modification, data extraction using PS Query, SQL, and support business users modifying queries.
- Independent contributor IT professional applying technical expertise in one or more IT disciplines.
- Select, customize, configure, install, and support packages.
- Translate user requirements into well-engineered, tested, and deployed business application systems.
- Maintain analysis, design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance responsibilities.
- Provide quality documentation and maintain up-to-date status updates in relevant systems with little or no direction.
- People Soft FSCM 9.2 with strong technical knowledge of People Tools 8.55+ (IB web services, application packages, AWE, fluid UI, work centers, activity guides, pivot grids, Oracle SQL).
- Experience with migration tools, analyzing, and retrofitting PUM images.
- Strong functional understanding of FSCM modules including GL, AM, Grants, AR, BI, eProcurement, AP, Mobile Inventory, Treasury, and eSupplier.
- UNIX scripting, JavaScript, CSS, HTML experience preferred but not required.
- Typically requires 7 + years of experience and a BA/BS degree or equivalent.
- Experience in an academic medical center.
- Strong verbal and writing skills with excellent listening skills; ability to multi-task and coordinate competing priorities.
- Deep understanding of People Soft Supply Chain management.
- Experience with Par Ex, Omni Cell, GHX Connect Plus, and Oracle Primavera.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues using tracing, SQL, Application Designer, and People Soft tables; modify SQR and Application Engine programs.
- Experience with People Tools integration with third‑party applications.
