We serve thousands of restaurants that order from us weekly—but they don't buy everything from us yet. This role is about expanding share of wallet
: getting existing customers to buy more categories, discover new products, and consolidate vendor spend with Baldor.

You'll own category-level revenue and margin growth through experimentation, data analysis, and merchandising optimization.

This is an experimentation and analytics-focused growth role. You'll identify growth opportunities, design and execute experiments using existing e-commerce tools (experimentation platforms, personalization engines, analytics dashboards), analyze results, and iterate. Success comes from your ability to work autonomously—from insight to execution to impact.

This role is for you if: You're energized by running experiments and analyzing data, you're comfortable working autonomously with marketing and analytics tools, and you want direct ownership of revenue outcomes.

What You'll DoOwn Category Revenue & Margin Growth
  • Drive revenue and margin targets for assigned categories with direct accountability for outcomes
  • Expand what existing customers buy from us by increasing category penetration and share of wallet
  • Identify opportunities to shift customer spend from other vendors to Baldor
Identify Growth Opportunities Through Data
  • Analyze customer ordering patterns, category performance, and engagement metrics using SQL, GA4, and Power

    BI.
  • Develop hypotheses about what will drive category expansion and increased purchases
  • Prioritize experiments based on potential impact and feasibility
Design & Execute Growth Experiments
  • Test growth strategies by configuring and optimizing existing tools: homepage carousels, product recommendation engine, email campaigns, push notifications, promotional mechanics (discounts, coupons), and merchandising placements
  • Set up experiments with clear success metrics and statistical rigor
  • Move quickly from hypothesis to live test without dependencies
Analyze Results & Drive Iteration
  • Evaluate experiment outcomes and extract actionable insights
  • Determine next steps: scale what works, kill what doesn't, iterate on promising signals
  • Build a knowledge base of what drives growth across different customer segments and categories
Align Cross-Functionally
  • Partner with Merchandising to align on category priorities, new product introductions, and promotional strategies
  • Collaborate with Marketing on campaign execution and messaging
  • Work with Sales on promotional economics and margin guardrails
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership
Success in First Year6 Months
  • Launch category growth strategies with clear targets
  • Deliver multiple experiments with measurable impact
  • Demonstrate GMV lift in at least one priority category
  • Establish KPI frameworks and dashboards
12 Months
  • Consistent revenue and margin growth across owned categories
  • Increased category penetration and share of wallet
  • Successful new product/category introductions validated through experiments
  • Demonstrated vendor substitution impact
  • Built repeatable experimentation playbook
What You Bring

Required:
  • 4+ years in growth, product, analytics, or experimentation roles (e-commerce/marketplaces/B2B preferred)
  • Strong SQL skills—you write complex queries daily to analyze customer behavior and experiment results
  • Hands-on experience running A/B tests using experimentatio and personalization platforms (Optimizely, VWO, Dynamic Yield, or similar)
  • Experience with email/push platforms and personalization/recommendation engines
  • Basic understanding of web development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript fundamentals, how web pages and tags work)
  • Statistical knowledge for experiment design and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with GA4, Power

    BI/Looker, or similar BI tools
  • Highly autonomous—comfortable identifying opportunities, executing experiments, and driving decisions independently
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
