The Department of Correction (DOC) Information Technology Division (ITD) seeks an appropriately qualified vendor to furnish, install, operate, and maintain a secure Persons in Custody Communication System (PICCS). The vendor must be capable of providing PICs with content via phone and tablet, such as messaging, free tablet content, and paid premium tablet content. The Contractor shall be responsible for the maintenance and support of PICCS, including on‑site staff support, to ensure that the Department provides a reliable phone system to the PIC population.
Such maintenance shall include but is not limited to preventive maintenance and prompt repairs for wall‑mounted phones and prompt repair and tablet replacements. The DOC’s goal is to replace/upgrade the existing PICCS with one that would provide access to and use of the latest available technologies and the ability to integrate with or be upgraded to future technologies. The DOC also seeks a system that will provide more comprehensive features, scalability as the inmate population fluctuates, and increased stability, resulting in less downtime.
