Overview
Design, implement, and support highly available mainframe DB2 and IMS database solutions.
Participate in on-call rotations to support mission-critical 24/7 database environments.
Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and platform enhancements.
Utilize enterprise-level database administration tools for monitoring, debugging, and recovery.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and support highly available mainframe DB2 and IMS database solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support mission-critical 24/7 database environments.
- Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and platform enhancements.
- Utilize enterprise-level database administration tools for monitoring, debugging, and recovery.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in database engineering or mainframe data management.
- Proficiency working with DB2 for mainframe environments and related administration tools.
- Experience with IMS databases, including configuration, optimization, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation languages such as REXX or similar tools.
- Understanding of data replication technologies and high-availability architecture.
