Senior Full Stack Engineer (SQL, .NET) | Onsite | New York | $190K - $220K
We aew working with a well-capitalised, global business that is building a lean, startup-style engineering function to own and modernise critical internal platforms. This team operates with real autonomy, minimal red tape, and direct access to decision-makers.
This is a role for an engineer who wants ownership, pace, and responsibility, not someone looking for a comfortable, siloed position. You’ll be hands-on across data, application logic, and delivery, building systems that finance and operations teams rely on every day.
What you will do:- Design, write, and optimise complex SQL Server queries and data models
- Build data transformations, reporting layers, and extracts
- Develop and maintain .NET / C# mid-tier applications
- Rapidly prototype and ship internal tools and dashboards
- Own systems end-to-end rather than handing work off to vendors
- Support and improve live, business-critical platforms
- Work directly with internal stakeholders to turn urgent needs into working software
- Operate in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and delivery matters
- Ownership of high-impact, business-critical systems
- Direct access to senior stakeholders
- Exposure to advanced data and AI initiatives

Must haves:
- Expert-level Microsoft SQL Server
- Deep understanding of performance, optimisation, and complex querying
- Genuine full-stack capability across:
- Database and data pipelines
- Application/business logic
- Reporting or downstream consumers
- Experience supporting systems where downtime and data quality matter
Nice to Have:
- ERP or financial systems exposure
- Analytics, automation, or AI-adjacent experience
- Background in startups, scale-ups, or high-intensity enterprise teams
- Fast-paced, reactive, and demanding
- Frequent context switching
- Tight timelines and minimal bureaucracy
- Enjoy building and shipping quickly
- Don’t need heavy process or hand-holding
