Audio Visual Network Engineer

Overview

A-V Services Inc., a leading Audio/ Video company with multiple fortune 100 contracts within the financial, pharmaceutical and computing industries, seeks a skilled AV Network Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to design and implement AV network architecture for rack rooms and event spaces.

Objectives:

Engineering robust network topology, VLANs, and QoS policies; specify and configure network hardware; and thoroughly document network design to support efficient and reliable AV operations.

• Engineer network topology, VLANs, and QoS policies.
• Specify and configure network hardware.
• Document network design for operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven experience in designing and engineering AV network topology, VLANs, and QoS policies
• Strong skills in specifying, configuring, and managing network hardware
• Proficiency in documenting network design for operational use and future reference
• Solid understanding of AV and IT networking protocols, standards, and best practices
• Experience with AV network integration in rack rooms and event spaces
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CTS, or other AV/IT networking certifications) are a plus
