Alternative Investment Business – NYC Full Stack Software Engineering Opportunity

I’m searching for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join my client, a well-established alternative investment and AI-focused firm managing over $20B in assets. The firm builds and operates internal technology platforms that support reinsurance-focused portfolio management and operational decision-making.

You will be part of a small, high impact engineering team responsible for building and maintaining internal software used daily by non-technical users across portfolio management and operations. You’ll work across the full stack, owning features end to end from design and implementation to deployment and production support. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys solving real-world business problems, working directly with stakeholders, and modernizing production systems that have direct impact on investment and operational workflows.

• 7+ Years of full-stack expereince
• Full stack engineer with experience across of backend services, data pipelines, and system architecture, and the ability to build internal user interfaces as part of end-to-end solutions.
• Proven experience owning software projects through the full lifecycle, including design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing production support.
• Strong background in building and operating data-heavy systems, including hands-on experience with relational databases, analytical data platforms, pipelines, and job orchestration.
• Ability to work directly with portfolio management and operations stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, without reliance on a dedicated business analyst.
• Strong UI/UX judgment as part of a full-stack skill set, with an ability to build intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for non-technical users
