Embedded Security Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to play a pivotal role within a client team based in Manhattan, New York. You will oversee and drive the successful mobilisation and delivery of access control and CCTV projects across the client’s portfolio. This position will involve supporting enterprise-level application implementations, managing migrations from legacy systems, and providing expert troubleshooting.

• Supporting enterprise-level application implementations, including programming, testing, commissioning, and project completion activities.
• Provide remote support and expert advice for break-fix events across client sites in the UK, Ireland, EMEA, and APAC regions.
• Oversee and manage the service and maintenance of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and break‑fix requirements, integrating these responsibilities into BAU operations.
• Participation in the Request for Change (RFC) Change Control process to support PPM and break‑fix activities.
• Supervise and oversee documentation for commissioning and ensure final sign‑off.
• Manage and maintain commissioning folders for each project, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Occasionally travel within the UK and Central Europe to support critical security infrastructure projects or resolve urgent break‑fix issues.
• Oversee and execute the system configuration of the C‑Cure and Victor servers for adding new or modifying existing installations.
• Process system administration, providing a robust triage service through a 24/7 Command Centre for all reported technical issues and manage subsequent resolution from vendor engineers.
• Monitor technical bulletins and liaise with support functions to manage known issues affecting product lines, advising on mitigations.
• Ensure system projects are completed from requirements gathering through to deployment within agreed deadlines and budget, escalating issues per policy.
• Act as the main technical and operational escalation point.
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary global team.
• Prepare and deliver accurate weekly reports covering incidents, downtime, and business impact.
• Provide communications within the group and actively participate in meetings.
• Continually ensure practices, policies, strategy, and services represent the client’s and the company’s best interests.

• Experienced and certified in C‑Cure 9000 AACS Application Level 2 and Genetec Synergis and security centre.
• Experienced and certified in Victor VMS/CCTV Application.
• High proficiency and expertise in designing, deploying, and managing integrated enterprise physical and technical security systems, including ICT infrastructure, hosting arrangements, and networks.
• Proven record of successful physical security system implementations/migrations, delivering quality solutions within complex and time‑sensitive environments.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to identify and meet project deadlines and deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external parties.
• Must be able to pass security screening procedures required by the client.
