Oracle DBA

Overview

Our client, a major bank in New York City, is looking for Oracle DBA
. New York City Location. This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week in the office.

Salary range: 145-165K, plus around 15% bonus, plus great benefits package.

• Administration of firm’s Oracle database environment including, but not limited to:
  System Health Monitoring, Availability and Performance troubleshooting, Database Performance Tuning, Backup/Restore/Recovery management, Maintain data integrity and security, Oracle Grid Infrastructure management, Database Storage management (including ASM), Automation of routine DBA tasks.
• Support Oracle environment HA/DR solutions (RAC, Data Guard).
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation to support production database environment.
• Support software development projects, including production releases.
• Coordinate and communicate with all stakeholders, learn relevant business processes and understand data flow, criticality and dependencies.
• Apply an innovative approach to uplift the system with more efficient and effective new technologies.

• 7+ year experience as an Oracle Database Administrator, supporting various Oracle RDBMS versions (11g - 19c+)
• Good working knowledge of Oracle Real Application Clusters and Operating Systems (AIX, Linux, Windows)
• Extensive Full Project life Cycle experience
• Extensive experience in developing database scripts (SQL, PL/SQL and Unix Shell)
• Working knowledge of Oracle database design, coding, and documentation
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Preferred candidates will have some experience with other DBMS’s:
  Postgre
  
  SQL, Sybase, etc.
• Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in US - NO H1 Visa support for this role
