Senior Director of Core Systems

• Evaluate operational processes and procedures for continuous process improvement of core applications.
• Work with application vendors, Claims Operations, Utilization Management, Network Management, and other operational teams to optimize core systems.
• Oversee short- and long-term business objectives and ensure alignment with corporate budgetary goals.
• Ensure continuous delivery of IT services by managing service level agreements and monitoring vendor performance.
• Supervise vendor functions related to benefit configuration, claims processing, provider setup, and account payables.
• Coordinate communication between key stakeholders and Core System Vendor for new system implementations and optimization of existing systems.
• Develop and oversee SDLC methodology, including requirements creation, quality assurance, UAT, production, and post‑production activities.
• Identify and resolve operational issues by collaborating with business units and vendors.
• Recommend new business and operational initiatives that enhance system capabilities.
• Maintain a system enhancement roadmap in partnership with vendors and operational areas.
• Implement claims editing and system edits to increase medical cost savings.
• Facilitate payment transaction process improvements with providers and finance teams.
• Lead project implementation of upgrades and new products related to Core Systems.
• Manage production processes, regulatory report submissions, and provider directory activities.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare IT, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of systems/operations management experience.
• Hands‑on Healthcare IT experience required.
• Project Management and staff supervision experience is a plus.
