Summary
A Presidio Digital Services Principal Architect, Healthcare and Life Sciences (HCLS), leads presales discovery, analysis, architecture, design, proposals, and scope-of-work creation, translating customer requirements into outcome-focused solutions through direct client engagement with HCLS accounts. Leveraging business acumen and technical expertise, a builder mentality, presales methodology, and strong relationships with clients, Presidio stakeholders, and vendor partners, the Principal Architect assesses industry, customer, technical, and sales context to position solutions that deliver measurable, long-term value.
This is a client-facing, 100% presales role that operates at the intersection of sales, delivery engineering, and customer executives to ensure we only propose solutions that are desirable for the client, feasible for delivery, and viable for Presidio.

Responsibilities include:
- Drive Digital Services Sales. In partnership with sales, formulate and execute a technical sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through Presidio Digital Services—application modernization, application development, SDLC, AI, and data estate and platform modernization. Act as the primary technical lead on pursuits, shaping solutions sales can position and close.
- Understand Customer Current State. Proactively discover customer IT current state, goals, outcomes, and initiatives across business, technical, operational, and financial facets. Research industry trends, develop discovery approaches, lead workshops, and document the current state to help target future state architectures and roadmaps.
- Technical Opportunity Leadership. Lead opportunities to achieve technical wins, identify stakeholders and their success criteria, create and lead solution approaches, align resources, and engage client leadership at Manager/VP/Director levels.
- Practice Delivery Engagement. Bridge sales and delivery engineering to ensure customer success; collaborate with delivery leads to shape approaches, validate feasibility, manage risk, and author formal scopes of work.
- Solution Architecture, Design and Documentation. Analyze client requirements, determine target services, create and deliver technical proposals with drawings and analysis, and articulate trade-offs and phased approaches.
- Technical Excellence & Evangelism. Maintain technical excellence across solution areas, position AI accelerators and reference architectures credibly, and participate in communities and knowledge sharing.
