We are looking for a Security Systems Technician to support and maintain integrated security systems across multiple client locations. This role focuses on access control, CCTV, visitor management, facial recognition, mobile access, and building network infrastructure.
Reporting to the Director of Field Services, you will monitor, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware and software, ensuring reliable and secure building operations. You will also support system upgrades and participate in projects that enhance overall security and technology performance.
Responsibilities- Install, support, and troubleshoot Access Control Systems (ACS), CCTV, and related security systems.
- Run, terminate, & test Ethernet and fiber cabling as needed.
- Rack, mount, and interconnect security and network equipment, including UPS.
- Support system rollouts, upgrades, and migrations.
- Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage data in compliance with privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure on-time project delivery.
- Document work, follow standard procedures, and maintain equipment inventory.
- Travel to client sites across New York City
- Minimum 2-4 years of hands-on-experience with Access Control Systems; working knowledge of installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Access Control, CCTV systems, and network equipment.
- Comfortable using power tools, performing firsthand field work, and working at heights when required.
- Ability to follow and apply OSHA safety standards and field safety protocols.
- Familiarity with Mercury panels, basic programming, and access control wiring
- Experience performing complete door installations, including maglocks, electric strikes, cutouts, wiring testing, and fire tie-ins.
- Minimum 2-4 years of hands-on-experience configuring and supporting computers, printers, phones, network switches, and electronic peripherals.
- Basic working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Network Attached Storage (NAS), and scripting/programming concepts.
- Ability to extract, analyze and manipulate data from small and large databases to produce meaningful reports.
- Familiarity with software tools and applications commonly used in the security systems industry.
- Strong software troubleshooting skills, including identifying and resolving system issues and conflict.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software platforms and emerging technologies.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in installer/service support-related environment, preferably in the field of security systems
- OSHA 30 Certification, demonstrating knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
