Infrastructure Deployment Engineer

About the Role

The Infrastructure Deployment Engineer (IDE) is responsible for executing end‑to‑end physical infrastructure deployments across datacenters, edge sites, or enterprise environments.

• Perform full rack & stack deployments for servers, switches, and physical infrastructure.
• Validate structured cabling (labeling, routing, dressing) against BICSI/TIA/IEC standards.
• Run or verify fiber testing (OTDR/OLTS), MPO/MTP polarity checks, and copper certification.
• Own deployment QA/QC, including port maps, patching accuracy, power validation, and redline corrections.
• Lead and coordinate contractor teams and ensure execution meets quality expectations.
• Support new system builds, refresh projects, and repeatable deployment workflows.
• Update diagrams, elevations, BOM corrections, and deployment documentation.

• 5–10+ years in structured cabling, physical infrastructure, deployment engineering, or hands‑on datacenter work.

• Strong experience with fiber (OTDR/OLTS) + copper certification tools.
• Deep knowledge of cabling standards and best practices.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and drive onsite build quality.
• Comfort working in fast‑paced, highly physical deployment environments.
• Ability to travel frequently (60–80% depending on project load).

• Experience with global deployments.
• Familiarity with QA checklists, BOM validation, and infrastructure redlines.
• Exposure to datacenter buildout sequences or commissioning workflows.

The expected compensation for this position is $150,000 – $250,000 annually
, depending on experience, skill level, and internal alignment. This range represents the minimum and maximum we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. The final offer may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, and interview performance.
