Skills and Competencies

You have hands-on experience with SQL and are comfortable querying and analyzing large datasets across relational (e.g., Postgre

SQL, MySQL) and No

SQL (e.g., Dynamo

DB, Mongo

DB) databases
You have a strong track record of working with data engineers and navigating complex data infrastructure to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions
You are experienced in agile methodologies and lead sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive iterative product development
You are an effective communicator who bridges technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering alignment across product, engineering, QA, and business teams
You are results-oriented and use metrics and client feedback to prioritize work, evaluate impact, and drive continuous improvement
You have experience in the finance industry and understand the critical role of data quality, timeliness, and regulatory alignment
You are a proactive team member who promotes automation, scalability, and operational efficiency in all aspects of the data product lifecycle
Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Data Product Manager to join the Moody Views product organization within Moody’s Analytics. This role focuses on building scalable and efficient data products that support analytical workflows and enterprise data delivery across Moody’s Analytics. You will be responsible for managing the full data product lifecycle—from ideation to delivery—working closely with data engineers, analysts, QA, business stakeholders, and other product teams to ensure high-quality data solutions.

Lead the delivery of data products, working with cross-functional teams including data engineering, QA, technology, and business strategy
Translate business needs into data requirements with a strong focus on data workflows, scalability, and performance
Own the data product backlog, prioritizing features, technical tasks, and improvements based on business value, effort, and dependencies
Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure accurate understanding of data structure, source systems, and integration logic
Actively manage sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives in an agile development environment
Ensure that data quality, documentation, lineage, and governance standards are upheld
Identify opportunities to automate data workflows and reduce failure points across the data lifecycle
Communicate product status, risks, and decisions to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner
