Our client is building a mission-critical automation platform at the center of healthcare operations.
The platform connects directly into complex healthcare systems, ingesting high volumes of operational data across EHR/EMRs, clinical documents, messages, and workflows, then transforming that complexity into structured, reliable processes healthcare teams depend on every day.
These integrations are live in production and power real clinical and operational workflows s is not an experimental product or early prototype. Backed by strong growth and recent funding, the company is investing heavily in expanding and hardening its healthcare integration ecosystem as demand accelerates.
This is applied engineering in one of the most technically complex environments in modern software.
About the RoleWe are hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Integrations to own and scale the company’s ecosystem of EHR/EMR and healthcare system integrations.
This is a highly hands-on, product-focused engineering role for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering execution, system design, and real-world coordination. You will not just write integration code, you will own integrations as products.
From working directly with healthcare vendors and customers to managing timelines, dependencies, and technical tradeoffs, you will take integrations from idea to reliable production workflows.
What You Will Do- Own end-to-end integrations with major EHR/EMR platforms and healthcare systems
- Act as technical owner for each integration, managing scope, timelines, and delivery
- Work directly with third-party vendors, API providers, and customer technical teams
- Translate real-world healthcare workflows into scalable backend services
- Design, build, and maintain resilient integration services and data pipelines
- Drive projects from discovery through production launch and long-term reliability
- Build observability, error handling, and performance improvements across pipelines
- Partner closely with product, platform, and customer-facing teams to expand the integration roadmap
- Balance technical execution with strong organization, prioritization, and follow-through
- 5+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience in production environments
- Direct hands-on experience working with EHR/EMR systems or healthcare data integrations
- Strong experience building API-based integrations and distributed services
- Proven ability to own complex projects end to end
- Excellent organizational and project execution skills
- Comfort working directly with third-party vendors and customer technical teams
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar backend languages
- Experience with asynchronous workflows and data pipelines
- High ownership mindset with strong accountability
- Clear communicator in cross-functional environments
- Experience with Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, Athena, or similar EHR platforms
- Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, or healthcare interoperability standards
- Experience in startup or growth-stage environments
- Background in integration-heavy platforms
- You lack hands-on healthcare integration experience
- You prefer narrowly scoped engineering tasks without ownership
- You’re uncomfortable being client- and vendor-facing
- Salary range: $140,000 to $170,000 USD
- Competitive equity package
- 401(k) program
- Health, dental, and vision coverage
- Flexible PTO and paid holidays
- Paid parental leave
Integrations are the backbone of the platform. You will own the systems that connect healthcare organizations to the core product, turning fragmented workflows into reliable automation.
This role combines deep technical work with real ownership, customer impact, and product responsibility. If you enjoy building production-grade healthcare integrations while driving projects from start to finish, this role was built for you.
