Introduction
Research Scientists at IBM drive the leading edge of quantum computing technologies with the industry’s most advanced hardware and software. Join an elite team of researchers and engineers building a path towards scalable fault tolerant quantum computation.
Your Role And ResponsibilitiesIBM Quantum is hiring a Research Scientist to contribute to the development of advanced, high-performance digital and mixed-signal ASICs in advanced nodes for exploratory applications. We focus on circuit designs targeting the development of differentiated solutions for a range of communication and computation challenges, including the creation of CMOS-based electronics for quantum computing applications. Successful applicants will have demonstrated experience in CMOS digital integrated circuit design, including logic design, logic synthesis, and verification.
In this role, you may be tasked with developing RTL, performing logic synthesis, developing test benches, and/or integration of designs incorporating digital and analog macros. You will be involved in all aspects of design projects from concept and IC architecture exploration / definition to system integration to bring up and test; demonstrated hands‑on lab skills are therefore important. In addition, background in communication theory, digital signal processing, and / or custom accelerator design would be advantageous.
