Application Support Specialist

Job Location:

New York, NYC (3 days onsite & 2 days remote)

• Provide front office application support for FICC Credit trading systems.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve production issues quickly and effectively.
• Own and manage the user query mailbox
  , ensuring timely and accurate responses.
• Deliver clear incident communications
  , including user notifications and management escalations.
• Support and troubleshoot batch processing using Quartz, Autosys, and Python-based jobs
  .
• Monitor critical trading environments using ITRS Geneos and respond to alerts proactively.
• Perform incident, problem, and root cause analysis
  , coordinating with multiple development teams.
• Maintain documentation and knowledge base for supported applications.
• Assist with metrics and reporting for Python-based systems and Java applications.
• Coordinate and execute Business Continuity Planning (BCP) testing and related documentation.
• Organize and lead issue resolution calls and meetings independently.
• Identify opportunities for automation to reduce repetitive manual tasks.

• Strong Python scripting and automation experience
• Experience with Quartz and/or Autosys scheduling
• SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting
• Shell scripting
• Monitoring tools:
  ITRS Geneos
• Log analysis tools:
  Splunk
• Performance/infra tools:
  Dynatrace
  , Ansible
• FIX Connectivity support experience
