Overview

About the Role As a Digital Associate Director, you will lead, develop, and scale a high-performing digital marketing team while owning the strategic direction, execution quality, and growth of our paid media and broader digital marketing practice. You will partner with senior cross-functional stakeholders, act as a trusted client advisor, and drive measurable business impact. You will be responsible for campaign excellence across channels, shaping processes, supporting resourcing and sales efforts, and aligning regional and global media strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Team Development:
    Lead, mentor, and scale a team of cross-functional managers, digital media buyers, and strategists across multiple offices globally. Set clear expectations, performance standards, and growth plans for team members.
  • Escalation & Accountability:
    Act as a senior escalation point for team, client, and performance challenges, and serve as an executive-level point of accountability for client outcomes.
  • Resource Planning:
    Partner with leadership on staffing, hiring, onboarding, and resource planning.
  • Campaign Planning & Execution:
    Own the planning, execution, and optimization of integrated digital marketing initiatives, remaining hands-on with execution when needed to ensure quality and results across channels (paid social, search, display, video, etc.).
  • Quality & Consistency:
    Ensure strategic consistency, best-in-class execution, and performance accountability across all accounts. Maintain a high-level understanding of day-to-day platform execution to guide strategy, troubleshoot issues, and drive results.
  • Strategy Translation:
    Translate business objectives into scalable, measurable digital media strategies.
  • Client Partnership:
    Serve as a senior client partner, building long-term relationships based on trust, performance, and strategic value. Lead high-level client communications, performance reviews, and strategic planning sessions. Identify opportunities for account growth, upsell, and cross-channel expansion. Support sales efforts through strategy development, scoping, and participation in pitches as needed.
Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (strategy, analytics, creative, operations) to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Align with global teammates, including North America, to ensure consistency in media strategy and execution across regions.
  • Contribute to the development and standardization of global best practices.
Performance, Analytics & Process Improvement
  • Oversee performance analysis and ensure insights are translated into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Establish and refine reporting frameworks, KPIs, and success metrics.
  • Continuously improve internal workflows, processes, and documentation to drive efficiency and scalability.
  • Stay current on emerging platforms, tools, trends, and industry best practices, and assess their relevance to the business.
Requirements
  • 6–7+ years of experience in digital marketing, with deep expertise across paid media channels.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Google Ads and/or Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Ads; additional platforms strongly preferred.
  • Agency experience highly preferred
    , including managing multiple clients and priorities.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams in a managerial or director-level capacity.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a performance-driven mindset.
  • Exceptional client leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience contributing to operational initiatives such as staffing, resourcing, process design, or sales support.
  • Familiarity with key tools and platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance team and client needs effectively.
  • Willingness to occasionally work outside standard hours to collaborate with global teams.
