Location: New York
Overview
Our Utility Client in NYC on the West End is looking for an IT Support/3rd Party Integrator with Windows and Nutanix experience for a 12+ month assignment. Must have a valid driver’s license. This position is fully onsite, 5 days a week. Selected candidate will require passing of NERC CIP Personnel Risk Assessment background check.
Technical Skills – Must Have- 3rd Party Software Integration

- Work with Windows Server/Desktop operating systems, users administration, file system, software, and services
- Understand servers and various storage RAID configurations
- Manage Active Directory, including backup and recovery of domain and GPO setup
- Apply fundamental networking concepts and troubleshooting such as DHCP, DNS, routing, and firewall
- Apply fundamental security principles, ACLs, encryption
- Use scripting (Power Shell, bash, ksh, or perl) to automate routine tasks
- Monitor system health and performance, provide statistics to identify bottlenecks and lead optimization efforts
- Plan disaster recovery and perform backup and restore for systems, applications, and data
- Install and manage patches and firmware
- Provide strong customer service, delivering a high‑quality end‑user support experience
- Knowledge of security software such as Prowatch or Genetec is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Information Technology)
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in IT Support
- Knowledge of Darksite patching for Nutanix Hypervisor and other hypervisors
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to produce documentation on solutions and system design
- Well organized, detail‑oriented, flexible, and able to handle multiple assignments with deadlines
- Good judgment, integrity, and sound business decision‑making
- Ability to lift and transport server equipment when needed
- Willingness to provide off‑hour, on‑call support for workstation, server, and other system issues requiring travel to various supported sites
- Ability to work overtime and flexible with work hours to respond to emergencies or scheduled work before or after normal business hours
- Means to travel to various company locations
- Must have a valid driver’s licence
- Must be willing to pass a NERC CIP Personnel Risk Assessment background check
