NYC Alliance is building a next‑generation AI‑enabled operating system to fundamentally improve how products are conceived, designed, approved, and delivered—without compromising margin discipline, operational integrity, or accountability.
We are looking for an AI Systems Product Manager to design and own this system from a product perspective.
This role is about designing AI‑powered workflows, decision systems, and guardrails that allow humans to move faster while staying within business and operational boundaries.
You will work at the intersection of:
- Business architecture
- AI agents and skills
- Governance and rules
This role sits within the CEO Office and operates across all business units.
Responsibilities System‑Level Product Design- Translate business rules (EPS, margin targets, feasibility constraints) into product logic and system guardrails
- Define how AI agents, human decision‑makers (e.g., Product Business Owners), and rules interact
- Ensure AI systems are explainable, auditable, and usable by non‑technical users
- Design and iterate AI agent behaviors, responsibilities, and boundaries
- Define agent orchestration: what AI does, what humans decide, what rules enforce
- Ensure AI systems are explainable, auditable, and usable by non‑technical users
- Own the product experience for internal users (Sales, PBOs, Supply Chain, Finance)
- Design decision interfaces that surface trade‑offs, risks, and constraints clearly
- Optimize for clarity, accountability, and adoption—not novelty
- Work closely with Business, IT, Data, and Governance teams
- Partner with AI engineers to translate product intent into working systems
- Act as the single point of product truth across multiple AI initiatives
- Define success metrics tied to business outcomes (cycle time, margin accuracy, decision quality)
- Drive MVPs and pilots into real operational usage
- Continuously refine systems based on real‑world feedback and performance
This is a systems product role with real business accountability.
Requirements8+ years as a Product Manager, preferably in:
- Internal platform
- Enterprise SaaS
- Workflow or decision systems
- AI, data, or platform products
Experience designing products with:
- Complex rules
- Multi‑step workflows
- Real‑world constraints (finance, compliance, operations)
- Thinks in systems, not features
- Comfortable saying "no" when speed compromises integrity
- Designs for scale, governance, and accountability
- Values clarity over cleverness
- Familiar with LLM‑based systems and AI agents (without needing to build models)
- Understands concepts such as:
- Agent orchestration
- Retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG)
- Guardrails and policy enforcement
- Able to work effectively with engineers and data teams
- Strong intuition for margin, trade‑offs, and operational risk
- Able to translate abstract business goals into concrete product behaviors
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, evolving environments
- How decisions are made
- How accountability is enforced
- How scale is achieved without chaos

- The offered salary for this position will vary based on role requirements determined by NYC Alliance, skill set and years of experience.
