AboutThe Role You're Considering
We are seeking a curious, collaborative, and technically talented Wi‑Fi Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the integration and performance testing of Wi‑Fi gateways, extenders, home security devices, and a variety of managed Wi‑Fi clients. Your work will directly impact the reliability, quality, and performance of next‑generation in‑home connectivity solutions. You’ll partner closely with product managers, developers, and fellow QA engineers to design, execute, and improve testing frameworks that ensure our products meet real‑world customer needs.
Your role- Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for Wi‑Fi devices and associated features.
- Analyze customer requirements and translate them into clear, actionable testing scenarios.
- Collaborate with product managers and development engineers to define and document functionality and technical requirements.
- Work cross‑functionally with QA, software, and product engineering teams to create, maintain, and evolve test plans, automation, and testing frameworks.
- Participate actively in issue triage and troubleshooting, ensuring findings are clearly documented and communicated.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive documentation of testing processes and results.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands‑on experience with Wi‑Fi / RF technologies, computer architecture, and data communications.
- Experience testing wireless technologies including Access Points, Routers, Extenders, and standards such as 802.11b/g/n/ac/ax/be.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6 addressing, Ethernet, DHCP, DNS, ICMP, ARP, NAT, Bridging, Switching.
- Familiarity with Wi‑Fi test tools, such as Veirwave, IXIA Chariot, and packet analyzers like Wireshark or Omnipeek.
- Experience with UNIX‑based systems, command‑line tools, and automation workflows.
- Understanding of the full product development lifecycle: requirements, testing, QA processes, deployment, and maintenance.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $80,000 - $108,000

The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting.
