Role overview:

We are seeking a skilled IT Operations Engineer to join our dynamic IT security team in either London or New York. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Zero Trust Network Architecture, email security, threat protection, endpoint security, Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA), and Single Sign‑On (SSO) solutions. A reasonable understanding of AWS infrastructure services, security operations, incident management, and change management is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and secure Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and Microsoft Intune environments.
  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of devices and applications using Microsoft Intune to ensure endpoint compliance and security.
  • Design, implement, and monitor Zero Trust Network Architecture.
  • Oversee and enhance email security solutions and threat protection systems.
  • Administer and secure Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring compliance and data protection.
  • Implement and manage endpoint security tools and policies across the organization.
  • Provide technical support for user endpoints (laptops, desktops, mobile devices), including onboarding, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Configure, manage, and enforce Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA) and Single Sign‑On (SSO) solutions to enhance access security.
  • Monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents and threats.
  • Support AWS infrastructure by applying best security practices and controls.
  • Participate in security operations, including incident management, triage, escalation, and root cause analysis.
  • Assist with the implementation and enforcement of change management policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to strengthen the organization’s security posture.
  • Document procedures, incidents, and solutions in accordance with security policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Zero Trust Network Architecture, email security, threat protection, endpoint security, Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA), and Single Sign‑On (SSO) solutions.
  • Experience in user endpoint support and management.
  • Good understanding of AWS infrastructure services and cloud security principles.
  • Experience with security operations, incident management, and change management processes.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, frameworks, and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Proficiency in security monitoring and incident response tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Should have the capacity to remain composed, adapt, and think strategically in high‑pressure situations.
  • A robust sense of accountability for safeguarding the confidentiality of both internal and external data and adherence to privacy regulations.
  • Maintaining the utmost ethical standards and integrity will be essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified:
    Desktop Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst, Microsoft Certified: Intune Administrator).
  • Certifications in IT support or security (CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, etc.).
  • Experience in a large or medium scale enterprise or global environment.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation for IT support and security operations.
