Healthfirst is seeking a Senior Tableau Developer to join our Marketing Data team. The ideal candidate is a specialized professional who creates interactive data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Tableau software. Their primary role is to transform complex data into visually appealing and easily understandable insights for businesses. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable visualizations.

The Senior Tableau Developer will work closely with data analysts, business, and IT teams to ensure data accuracy, optimize performance, and enhance decision‑making processes.

• Develop, design, and maintain interactive and visually compelling Tableau dashboards and reports.
• Work independently to analyze, interpret, and visualize complex healthcare insurance data.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for efficient data extraction and transformation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective visual solutions.
• Optimize dashboards for performance and ensure efficient data retrieval.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to Tableau reports, data sources, and dashboards.
• Utilize SQL to extract and manipulate data from various databases.
• Support ad‑hoc reporting needs and provide analytical insights to drive business decisions.
• Provide training sessions for users to familiarize them with using Tableau.
• Surface any data integrity or quality issues to the relevant engineering team.
• Stay up to date with Tableau best practices and emerging data visualization trends.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 6+ years’ experience in data visualization and analysis.
• Proficiency in Tableau software (Desktop, Server, Cloud).
• Strong experience in SQL and database management.
• Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Problem‑solving and analytical thinking.

• Data storytelling.
• Strong team collaboration.

• Experience working independently with large datasets, preferably in the healthcare insurance industry.
• Experience with Salesforce Platforms (Sales/Service/Marketing Cloud).
