Systems Administrator

Overview

Queens, NY | Full-Time | On-Site 5 days week | Financial Institution

We are hiring a Systems Administrator to join a stable, well-established financial institution based in Queens, NY. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on managing and securing infrastructure across VMware, Windows Server, and networking environments.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining system uptime, executing audit remediations, and supporting enterprise technology used across banking operations.

• Administer and support VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter)
• Manage and secure Windows Server systems and Active Directory
• Execute server hardening and audit remediation tasks
• Monitor infrastructure health and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity
• Coordinate system upgrades, patching, deployments, and equipment installations
• Provide Tier 2–3 support to end users and IT helpdesk
• Document processes and contribute to security/compliance best practices

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in system or infrastructure administration
• Recent, hands-on experience with VMware products (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
• Strong skills in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
• Familiarity with LAN/WAN networking concepts, switches, routers
• Experience with audit remediation or server security hardening (preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Must be commutable to Queens – preference given to local candidates

US Citizen or Valid US Green Card

• Financial services or banking industry experience
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+/Security+, MCSA, or VCP
