Director of Purchasing

MS Shift is a global SaaS company serving leading hospitality brands worldwide with security and operations management solutions. We are expanding and looking for a strategic, hands-on Director of Purchasing / Procurement to lead vendor management, contract negotiations, and cost optimization across our growing global footprint.

About the Role

This is a leadership position responsible for building and managing our procurement function end-to-end. You will oversee vendor selection, contract negotiations, purchasing policies, and cost control initiatives across software, technology, hardware, and operational services.

We are looking for someone who can operate both strategically and tactically — setting procurement standards while also driving immediate savings and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead company-wide procurement strategy and purchasing operations
• Negotiate vendor contracts, renewals, pricing, and terms
• Manage relationships with technology, SaaS, hardware, and service providers
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement sourcing strategies
• Build and maintain procurement policies, controls, and approval workflows
• Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and spend visibility
• Support IT, Engineering, and Operations with vendor selection and onboarding
• Track vendor performance, SLAs, and contract compliance
• Lead purchasing for global office expansion and deployments
• Build scalable procurement processes as the company grows

Qualifications

• 10+ years in purchasing, procurement, or strategic sourcing
• Required:
  Proven experience in SaaS, technology, or software-driven companies (must-have)
• Strong contract negotiation and vendor management experience
• Proven track record of reducing costs and improving vendor terms
• Experience managing SaaS subscriptions, cloud spend, and IT procurement is highly preferred
• Excellent financial and analytical skills
• Strong leadership and cross-department collaboration abilities
