the Role

We are seeking a Digital Product Manager, Insurance to own the digital strategy, roadmap, and execution for One Main’s optional insurance products. This role sits within the Digital organization and serves as the product owner for insurance digital experiences
, partnering closely with Originations, Servicing, Insurance Technology, Insurance business stakeholders, and Shared Platform teams.

This Product Manager will lead insurance product roadmap development
, digital insurance sale and servicing experience design
, and ongoing experimentation and optimization across multiple platforms. The role is accountable for defining product strategy, designing roadmaps and milestones, prioritizing the backlog, and delivering measurable improvements in coverage rates, customer experience, claims outcomes, and operational efficiency
.

You will work day-to-day with design, engineering, and analytics teams, across various scrum teams
, translating business and regulatory requirements into scalable digital insurance capabilities - from point-of-sale enrollment through policy servicing and claims resolution.

This is not a sales, agent, or advisor role. Success in this role requires hands-on experience as a product manager in the insurance space, digital flow optimization and digital insurance capabilities
, not individual policy sales or advisory distribution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end digital insurance journey
    , including the sale process, claims experience, and servicing interactions across mobile and web.

  • Partner with the Originations and Servicing product teams to identify friction points and define cross-team digital improvements.

  • Define and deliver a digital roadmap for insurance, setting milestones, success metrics, and OKRs aligned to business and customer outcomes.

  • Work closely with scrum teams to groom backlogs, define user stories
    , support sprint planning, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.

  • Collaborate with Insurance Technology team to modernize systems, enhance process automation, and integrate new digital capabilities.

  • Leverage data and analytics to measure funnel performance, claims utilization, and operational efficiency; use insights to drive iterative improvements.

  • Champion the customer experience
    , ensuring digital insurance touchpoints are simple and transparent.

  • Partner with Operations, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure all insurance experiences meet regulatory and operational standards.

Qualifications
  • 8-10+ years of experience in digital product management
    , with demonstrated ownership of complex, customer-facing digital products.

  • Background in digital insurance experiences
    , including insurance sales flows, policy servicing, claims, or insurance systems modernization.

  • Experience working closely with design and engineering teams to optimize digital journeys through discovery, delivery, and post-launch optimization.

  • Strong understanding of product discovery, experimentation, A/B testing, and KPI-driven optimization
    .

  • Proven ability to operate in agile environments
    , partnering with scrum teams through sprints, milestones, and release planning.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills in highly regulated environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience developing or optimizing optional insurance offerings, such as credit insurance, debt protection, GAP, or ancillary insurance products.

  • Familiarity with workflow automation, document management, and GenAI-driven process improvements.
