We are seeking a Tester who will support our client by creating and executing test scripts across assigned work streams to support an enterprise Electronic Medical Record (EMR) implementation. This role performs unit, system, and integration testing to validate requirements, identify defects early, and ensure end-to-end workflows function as expected. The ideal candidate will document results, track defects through resolution, and communicate testing status and risks to project stakeholders.
Duties- Participate in test planning sessions, review workflows, and support readiness activities for deployments or go-live events.
- Collaborate with business, clinical, and technical teams to validate requirements, clarify expected results, and confirm defect resolutions.
- Maintain a test tracker and publish testing status (planned vs. executed vs. passed/failed) at least weekly.
- Re-test defect fixes and perform regression testing; verify closure of 95%+ assigned defects within the planned test window.
- Log defects with clear reproduction steps and severity/priority; submit defects within 1 business day of discovery.
- Execute system and integration test cycles and complete assigned test execution within agreed sprint/cycle timelines (e.g., 2-week cycles).
- Execute unit tests and record results; capture test evidence for 100% of executed scripts (e.g., screenshots/logs as applicable).
- Create and maintain detailed test scripts and test cases for assigned modules/work streams (unit, system, and integration testing).
- 2+ years of experience creating and executing test scripts/test cases and documenting test evidence.
- 2+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test execution for complex systems.
- 2+ years of experience logging and tracking defects through resolution using a ticketing/defect tool (e.g., Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Service Now, or similar).
- 2+ years of experience performing unit, system, and integration testing and applying basic test design techniques.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to validate requirements and confirm expected results.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced implementation environment.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills, including the ability to provide clear, concise status updates.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams/SharePoint or similar).
- Associate’s degree or combination of experience and education.
