Location: New York

A New York–based investment firm is seeking an Operations / Middle-Office Analyst to support its growing platform. The firm provides flexible capital solutions to small- and mid-cap U.S. public companies and invests across the capital structure, including PIPEs, convertibles, preferred equity, and structured securities. The team is continuing to scale infrastructure and controls to support growth and institutional readiness.

Role Overview

This role supports the firm’s middle-office and operational backbone across trade support, security setup, lifecycle events, administrator oversight, and valuation support. The analyst will help ensure investments, particularly PIPE and convertible structures, are operationalized correctly from day one, with clean data, documented workflows, and strong operational controls.

Key Responsibilities Investment-to-Operations Coordination
  • Coordinate the handoff of key deal terms at close to ensure accurate security setup and lifecycle tracking
  • Prepare concise deal-term summaries covering security identifiers, restrictions, settlement mechanics, conversion economics, resets, and notice requirements
Security Setup & Trade Lifecycle
  • Support accurate security setup across internal systems and administrator records
  • Assist with trade lifecycle processes including allocations, confirms, settlement, and exception resolution
  • Coordinate daily reconciliations across internal systems, custodians, and administrators
Lifecycle Events & Structured Products
  • Track and support conversions, redemptions, resets, elections, and issuer notices
  • Ensure documentation and instructions are complete, consistent, and properly recorded
Vendor & Counter party Operations
  • Support onboarding and maintenance of brokers, primes, administrators, and service providers
  • Partner with Compliance and IT on recordkeeping, controls, and operational policies
Qualifications
  • 1–4 years of experience in hedge fund operations, middle office, fund administration, or prime brokerage operations
  • Exposure to PIPEs, convertibles, preferred equity, or structured products strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple work streams under time pressure
  • Proficient in Excel; comfortable with data-driven and process-oriented work
  • Clear communicator with the ability to translate deal terms into operational actions
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
