Role introductionAs a D365 F&O Lead Finance Consultant you can expect to…
- Deliver high‑value functional and application support that helps clients maximize their investment in D365 F&O.
- Lead the resolution of complex functional issues by diagnosing root causes, replicating scenarios, and recommending sustainable solutions.
- Configure and enhance D365 F&O Finance modules to support evolving business processes.
- Partner closely with clients to understand business needs, identify improvements, and provide best‑practice recommendations.
- Manage and prioritize tickets, enhancements, and mini‑projects with minimal supervision.
- Develop functional requirement documentation and design specifications for enhancements.
- Perform and support unit testing, regression testing, and deployment activities for upgrades and solution changes.
- Collaborate with technical teams, solution architects, and cross-functional partners to ensure accurate design and delivery.
- Proactively monitor environments and assess opportunities for process efficiency, automation, and optimization.
- Guide clients through feature releases, hotfixes, and platform updates as part of ongoing lifecycle management.
- Provide end-user support and training to ensure adoption and correct use of the solution.
- Maintain strong client relationships built on trust, responsiveness, and superior service.
- Participate in after‑hours or on‑call rotations as needed to support critical client needs.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as a Microsoft D365 F&O/Dynamics AX Finance Consultant.
- Hands‑on experience supporting Finance modules including:
General Ledger, AR, AP, Cash & Bank Management, Project Accounting, and reporting tools (Management Reporter/FRx). - Experience working in a Managed Services, support, or application maintenance environment preferred.
- Deep knowledge of D365 F&O financial functionality and the ability to map solutions to business needs.
- Strong ability to analyze issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and propose long‑term solutions.
- Expertise in configuring and customizing D365 Finance functionality.
- Experience managing testing cycles, deployment processes, and post‑deployment validation.
- Microsoft D365 F&O Financials certifications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
- Solving complex issues with creativity and a calm, client‑centered approach.
- Building relationships with clients and internal partners.
- Prioritizing work and setting clear expectations.
- Thriving in a collaborative, team‑oriented approach to ongoing solution support.
- Distilling technical concepts into business‑friendly language.
- Continually learning and adapting to product changes and new features.
- This is a sedentary position that primarily involves sitting/standing. You can expect to:
- Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Work on a computer and look at a computer screen for prolonged periods
- Move about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
- Communicate with others to exchange information via telephone, email, instant messaging tools and video conferencing
- Perform repeat motions that may include the wrists, handsand/or fingers (i.e. typing on a keyboard, using a computer mouse, etc.)
- Assess the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned
- Travel by airplane, train, or automobile to client sites to perform sedentary work as outlined above
