As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. You’ll work on fast-paced, challenging projects, have opportunities to experiment, take risks, and collaborate with remarkable people. We’re building world-class teams with deep expertise in large-scale recommender systems at the intersection of AI research and business impact.
We’re seeking talent who can deliver measurable impact on core business metrics while advancing the state-of-the-art in personalization and recommendation technology. This role sits in the Personalization & Discovery Science team, focused on foundational models for recommender systems and production systems serving millions of customers.
Key responsibilities- Develop AI solutions for Prime Video Search & Recommendation systems using Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Optimization Methods, and GenAI
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to design, implement, and launch AI solutions end-to-end
- Design and conduct offline and online (A/B) experiments with in-depth data analyses
- Communicate technical and non-technical ideas effectively to teammates and stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with advancements and modeling techniques in the field
- Publish research findings in top conferences and journals
The Prime Video - Personalization & Discovery Science team owns science solutions to power search experiences across devices, focusing on AI-first customer experiences. Our recommendation systems are core, customer-facing components driving engagement and growth.
Basic Qualifications- PhD, or Master’s degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
- 5+ years of building machine learning models for business applications
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning
- Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MXNet, Tensor Flow, Num Py, Sci Py
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark
