Network Security Specialist : Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco CCIE Security

We’re partnering with a leading proprietary trading firm to appoint a Senior Network Security Engineer into their globally distributed infrastructure team. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and enhancing secure, high‑performance network environments that underpin critical trading operations. This position blends hands‑on engineering with project delivery, giving you real ownership over complex initiatives across on‑prem and cloud environments.

• Architect and implement robust network security solutions across enterprise and trading systems
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of infrastructure and security projects
• Design and optimise routing, switching, and secure connectivity across global networks
• Drive improvements in monitoring, observability, and incident response capabilities
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance resilience and performance
• Contribute to automation initiatives to improve scalability and efficiency

• Strong background in network engineering within complex, high‑availability environments
• Deep expertise across routing and switching protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF, multicast, high‑availability technologies)
• Proven experience working with enterprise‑grade firewall and security platforms (e.g. Palo Alto, Fortinet)
• Hands‑on exposure to network access control solutions such as Cisco ISE
• Solid understanding of modern security principles including segmentation and zero‑trust approaches
• Scripting/automation capability (Python preferred)
• Experience troubleshooting and optimising large‑scale networks using monitoring and diagnostic tools
• Familiarity with cloud networking concepts across AWS, Azure, or GCP is advantageous
• Cisco certifications CCNP/CCIE (Security track ideally) or equivalent experience
