Job Description
NBCU’s Decision Sciences Media Analytics team is seeking a Senior Analyst who can combine technical data science knowledge with actionable analytical and reporting skills to enable data-driven media optimization and insights. This role will be key in supporting NBCUniversal’s industry-leading media attribution methodologies, as well as helping to grow data accessibility initiatives across our organization to make better, faster, data-driven decisions.
The Sr. Analyst will collaborate with marketing, data science, data engineering, and other analytics teams to deploy cutting-edge attribution models and develop new and innovative ways to connect stakeholders with existing data.
- Manage and maintain critical attribution models that drive key media decisions, including MTA and other proprietary and innovative techniques
- Upkeep, maintain, and upgrade existing media attribution tools and datasets.
- Help lead innovation within the media analytics team with novel ideas, underpinned by mathematical rigor, that improve reporting and optimal decision‑making across multiple KPIs (subscriptions, engagement, usage, lifetime value, etc.).
- Conduct deep dives and exploratory analyses to identify trends, patterns, and key drivers within data to inform strategic decision‑marking for the NBCU/Peacock business.
- Produce reporting that ties key executive questions back to existing data trends and observations across various KPIs, such as media ROI for conversions and platform engagement.
- Contribute to cross‑technique measurement efforts, triangulating learnings across other key measurement systems, including Marketing Mix Modeling and experiments
- Partner with media decision makers to enhance optimization capabilities
- Explore connections with broader internal and external teams (including vendors and media platforms) to expand data capabilities, usage, and reporting.
- Provide support for existing and growing third‑party workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or other STEM field with 2+ years of experience in an analytics centered role. Media analytics preferred.
- Proficient in SQL and at least one OOP language (R or Python preferred).
- Strong grasp of Machine Learning concepts and implementations (Regression, Classification/Clustering, Dimensionality Reduction).
- Proficient in tools like Tableau or other data visualization software
- Effective communicator and collaborator with strong project management and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently; manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Experience, either in business or academic studies, building and maintaining models using big data
- Familiarity with, or interest in, multi‑touch attribution (MTA), media mix modeling (MMM), customer journey analytics
- Ability to navigate through ambiguity, collaborate effectively, and build consensus in a highly matrixed environment
- Demonstrates strong sense of curiosity, accountability, and ability to execute projects of all sizes with vision & purpose
- Hybrid:
This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in‑office requirements at any time. - This position is eligible for company‑sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $85,000 - $115,000.
