Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and technical leader to serve as the AVP, Workday Systems
. In this pivotal role, you will be the primary architect and administrator for our enterprise-wide Workday ecosystem. You will lead the roadmap, configuration, and security for both Workday HCM and Workday Financials
.

The ideal candidate is a Workday expert who thrives at the intersection of Finance, HR, and Technology. You won't just be maintaining a system; you will be optimizing it to drive business intelligence, operational efficiency, and scalable growth.

Key Responsibilities 1. System Architecture & Configuration
  • Lead the end-to-end configuration of Workday HCM (Core, Benefits, Compensation, Talent) and Workday Financials (FDM, AP/AR, Expenses, General Ledger).
  • Drive the design of the Foundation Data Model (FDM) to ensure seamless reporting and data integrity across both platforms.
  • Manage the semi-annual Workday release cycle, conducting impact assessments and deploying new features.
2. Integration & Technical Oversight
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of complex integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio) between Workday and third‑party vendors.
  • Partner with IT and Finance to ensure automated data flows are robust, secure, and audited.
3. Security & Governance
  • Own the Workday Security model, defining and maintaining roles, permissions, and business process security policies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal audits, SOX requirements, and data privacy regulations (GDPR/CCPA).
4. Strategic Leadership
  • Act as the primary liaison between HR, Finance, and Executive leadership to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Develop a multi‑year Workday roadmap focused on automation and "best‑in‑class" user experience.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in HRIS/ERP management, with at least 3+ years specifically in a leadership role.
  • Workday Expertise: Mandatory hands‑on experience with Workday Financial Management
    . Deep knowledge of HCM is also required.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficiency in Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, and Business Process configuration.
  • Security/Audit: Proven experience managing complex security groups and navigating internal/external audit cycles.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
  • Workday

    Certifications:

    Pro certifications in Financials, HCM, or Integrations are a significant plus.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to troubleshoot complex integration errors and data discrepancies with a "detective" mindset.
  • Communication: Capable of explaining technical "Workday‑speak" to non‑technical stakeholders in Finance and HR.
