Overview

A leading, innovation‑focused organization in the legal industry is seeking a senior‑level Manager of Legal Engineering to drive AI‑powered transformation across transactional workflows. This role sits at the intersection of legal expertise, advanced AI capabilities, and team leadership, with a focus on building scalable, high‑impact solutions for complex legal practices.
Location: Hybrid (Major U.S. Markets)

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of legal and knowledge engineers focused on AI‑enabled workflow optimization
  • Design and implement prompt engineering standards, reusable templates, and quality assurance frameworks
  • Drive execution of a multi‑year AI strategy aligned with business priorities and user needs
  • Translate transactional legal processes (e.g., diligence, drafting, negotiation) into scalable AI‑driven solutions
  • Act as a strategic advisor on workflow prioritization, balancing technical feasibility with business impact
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, quality metrics, and user satisfaction benchmarks
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with technology, knowledge management, and business stakeholders to ensure successful adoption
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in legal technology, legal operations, knowledge management, or related fields
  • Demonstrated experience leading high‑performing technical or hybrid (legal + technical) teams
  • Strong expertise in AI systems and prompt engineering, particularly with large language models
  • Deep understanding of transactional legal workflows
  • Experience building or managing workflow templates, prompt libraries, and knowledge repositories
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (e.g., J.D.) preferred
Compensation
  • Base Salary: $180,000 – $230,000
  • Total Compensation: $200,000 – $260,000 (including bonus/incentives)
Additional Details
  • Hybrid work model with flexibility depending on location
  • U.S. work authorization required (no sponsorship available)
  • Title may vary based on experience (Senior Manager, Director, etc.)
